Lake Of The Woods Golf Club -Lake Of The Woods, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Mahomet, Illinois.
The Golf Facility offers an 18-hole regulation course, a 9-hole Par 3 course and a practice range.
The 18 Hole course is a par-72 golf course. It measures over 6500 yards from the back (blue) tees. It was designed by Robert B. Harris, and opened for play in 1951

This course is consistently one of the most serene place to play in Central Illinois. The location is close to I-74, but you hear none of the highway noise. The staff is very friendly and the renovated tees make the Blue Tees a lot to handle. 6700 yards plays long when the course is damp. The front nine is more exposed and the back nine wanders through the trees a bit more. Holes 10,11, and 12 are challanges to any golfer. The course is a County Park District and the conditioning is good. The green fees are a bargin.

Really nice, established 18 hole loop, offering a large variety of green locations on a somewhat hilly layout with interesting shot-making opportunities. Excellent local public links. Normally, a bit pricey, but Senior greens fee/cart deals are offered regularly and our group takes advantage of them..
